But the difference here is that I keep them with my Christmas decorations, so they only get put out once a year. :)Rena Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02328844122193024220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910901195415494293.post-52012585317919088702008-12-21T12:02:00.000-07:002008-12-21T12:02:00.000-07:00Scrumptious smells! After the s&s wears out it's a disappointment, so the books have a short life.Marciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10006966091789130047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910901195415494293.post-50132778255226628562008-12-21T09:16:00.000-07:002008-12-21T09:16:00.000-07:00Thanks for all of the replies. Go grab yourself a copy and stick it on your coffee table at Christmas. People of all ages will pick it up and enjoy it!

Mary -- I think they are related, but I don't know how. I know both Patricia and Richard Scarry did "The Bunny Book" and "Goodnight, Little Bear" together. So maybe they're married? :)Rena Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02328844122193024220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910901195415494293.post-50759241487681882802008-12-21T08:00:00.000-07:002008-12-21T08:00:00.000-07:00Golden Books! I remember thinking how cool it was to have an odor...on paper...that you had to scratch in order to smell. Kinda like, how'd they do that?

It felt like a special secret that everyone under the age of 10 was in on. Sharing it with your parents? Meh, not so fun. But sharing it with your friends? Loads of fun. "Eeew, did you smell the grass one? It smells like poop! I dare ya..."

Anyway. Sorry. Tangent. :D

GaleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910901195415494293.post-59661164409228171712008-12-21T05:03:00.000-07:002008-12-21T05:03:00.000-07:00I've never read this book! Surely he illustrated it?)

All the smells of Christmas appeal so much to me, I know I would have loved this.Mary Witzlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06458299046574564155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910901195415494293.post-57737168106726550792008-12-21T00:49:00.000-07:002008-12-21T00:49:00.000-07:00I never heard of that book but it sounds like fun....I never heard of that book but it sounds like fun.
