Love that CJ was the editor! I remember when I was 9 or 10 I had a penpal that I found in a comic book named Jody. I thought it was a girl. It was a boy, and I was embarrassed!Kelly Polarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10968381456100611120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910901195415494293.post-88617014603173229442009-03-26T11:00:00.000-06:002009-03-26T11:00:00.000-06:00Tracy -- That is really cool you still write to pe...Tracy -- That is really cool you still write to people. I wish I did too, but it's been forever. I really miss getting mail. Rejection letters are NOT the same thing. :( I'm planning to blog some more about pen palling tomorrow or the next day. I really enjoyed it and many of my pen pals I got to meet. Some are still friends today!Rena Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02328844122193024220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910901195415494293.post-91096811995855055442009-03-26T10:32:00.000-06:002009-03-26T10:32:00.000-06:00Speaking as someone who still has penpals and love...Speaking as someone who still has penpals and loves it, I think it is awesome that you had such a cool news letter! And CJ as the editor... don't take the credit for it Rena - we know it was all her idea and her work! :)

In my heyday I had over 250 pals but there is just no way I could keep that up now.. I am not sure how I did it then... oh yes, I was in university and just didn't study! lol

Now I have about 40 pals who I 'snailmail' too though I catch up with them by email and Facebook now too.

It is a wonderful hobby and I hope to keep it up, as long as I can write! (And hopefully get my kids into it someday!)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2910901195415494293.post-66748832056622190392009-03-26T09:49:00.000-06:002009-03-26T09:49:00.000-06:00That is neat Rena.
