Avalanche Lake Trail -- GNP

Rick, Nichelle, and I hiked up to Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park yesterday. It's just about 2.6 miles to the lake one-way, but we went to the end of the lake and that added another mile. I'd been wanting to do this hike for a long time, so I was glad we finally made it. I was even happier when I saw there were pit toilets near the lake. Well now ... that changed everything! HA!

If you click on the pictures, they show up larger. my favorite is the white flower. Look at all the bugs on it. I might post the others I took of that flower tomorrow. I couldn't believe all the bugs!

  1. I really, really like the first one. The pine needles look like lace. Beautiful!

  2. Those signs might have scared me away from the hike...
