National Boss Day

I find it amazing how many unofficial holidays there are. It's hard to keep up with all the traditional ones, more or less some of these crazy ones. But some are fun, like National Play-Doh Day and National Pizza Party Day. Some things you just don't want to miss, like National Nutty Fudge Day. October 16th is National Boss Day. Do you have a boss? Do you feel he or she is deserving of a special day? I am a stay-at-home-mom and I homeschool my kids, so I guess I'm my own boss. Maybe I should send myself flowers, or better yet, give myself a raise. Now wouldn't that be nice. If you want to learn about other crazy holidays, click here for a fun website. I hope if you are the boss that you get some special appreciation today -- you deserve it!

  1. I guess I am the boss as well since I am a stay home mom of 2. So I think we both deserve a raise Rena. In fact I am going to double my salary! (Of course 2 times nothing is still ... hm, never mind!)

  4. Awesome! I now don't have to feel guilty about my frosted chocolate chip cookie for dessert after lunch! Happy Boss's Day to all of us stay at homers!

  5. Hmm...I'm my own boss, but not a very good one. My employee spends way too much time playing on the internet! I'll treat myself to some chocolate anyway :)

  7. I have a boss...and I don't think this holiday was created because of her...no, I'm sure this holiday was not because of her...

I am a boss...I was given a bag of fresh fruit market apples and both of my staff members said they would leave work early so that I could have some quiet time by myself...grin...
