I bet you don't know what today is! Think hard and no, it doesn't have to do with candy. I know that's shocking coming from me. Today is -- BATHTUB PARTY DAY! Check it out for yourself here just to see that I don't make this stuff up. It's a copyrighted holiday, whatever that means. Of course, now I have Bobby Darin's song "Splish Splash" stuck in my head. What a great song that is. I'm not much into parties, more or less in the tub, but I do love a hot bubble bath. Give me a nice glass of wine, some lit candles and the lights out -- that's a party enough for me. I suppose if you're more of a shower person, today would be a good day to have a bath. Or a party. Or both. Whatever you do, have a great Friday -- and think squeaky clean thoughts!
That really sounds nice right about now! Thanks Rena.

That reminds me of when the kids were little enough to take baths together. They did have fun in there!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing I love more than a hot bubble bath. One of the reasons we bought the house we are in now is that the master bath tub is huge! I could picture myself locked in there hiding from the kids enjoying my 'ME' time. the only problem? The tub leaks down into the kitchen sink anytime you put water in it! So now we have a lovely area that the cats like to sleep in ... and I take showers. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
My kids can get in on the bathtub party fun! For some reason I never enjoyed baths. I always got too cold, maybe I'm too tall for my bathtub :0)
ReplyDeleteNance -- I bet a hot bubblebath sounds good with your -7 windchill and 6" of snow. Our snow is still here and we're expecting more tonight, but I don't know how much.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne -- I remember my girls begging to take baths together. We'd let them, but they always were so noisy and made a huge mess. They'd beg and beg. The boys ask every now and then, but by now, we know better. No parties in the tub for MY kids! I'm such a mean evil mom.
Tracy -- You need to get your tub fixed. I actually turned down a few houses that we liked because there was no tub. Yep, a bathtub means that much to me. LOL! Mine now isn't as big as our CA house, but it's still a Jacuzzi tub, so that's cool. I like making it extra hot on snowy nights and then cracking the windows open to get that really cold burst of air. Then of course, I play stupid when Rick asks why the heating bill is so much. "Huh?"
Hi Kelly -- you slipped in there as I was replying. LOL! I'm 5'8" tall, so bathtubs can be an issue for me. I have a good sized one here, but the one in my house in CA was extra long. It was a corner tub and for someone tall like me, that made a big difference.
ReplyDeleteI love that someone has come up with all these fun holidays...and thank you for sharing them with us...
ReplyDeleteHeehee Brenda -- I know, some of them are pretty silly.
ReplyDeleteI grew up with a clawfoot bathtub - no shower. It was the first thing I ripped out of the house and put in a shower. Now, years later, I regret it.
ReplyDeleteAs an almost 6 feet tall woman, I hate the no-fit-in-the-bathtub problem. Now I have a big tub and it is so luscious.
ReplyDeleteOh Kim, I'd love to have a clawfoot bathtub! One of the homes we looked at when we first began looking had one. It was in Helena and we ended up moving further north. But it had a beautiful red clawfoot tub!
ReplyDeleteJacqui -- That's great you have a big tub. I'm pretty tall too and it makes a huge difference.
I'm thinking bath bombs are the ticket!
