Christmas Little Golden Books

These are my Christmas Little Golden Books. It's only a tiny portion of my collection. I buy a lot of these books at thrift stores like the Salvation Army. They usually cost about a dime each. Every now and then I get a really old one, which is always exciting. A few of these I've gotten from family and friends, including the really old Mickey Mouse one at top that my friend Bonnie sent me recently.

Years ago I made a holder for our Christmas books. I used an old box and covered it with gift wrap. It just gets packed up with all our Christmas stuff. I used to keep these Little Golden Books with the other books, but lately I've pulled them out and kept them with my collection. I'm still not sure if it's better to pack them up or keep them out. So far, they keep going back and forth.

Speaking of Christmas kid's books -- Janet Smart is posting a Christmas picture book each day on her blog, Creative Writing in the Blackberry Patch. So far, she's highlighted some really great books. You should definitely check it out if you can. Do you have a favorite Christmas picture book?

  1. Hi Rena, thanks for linking to me. We are both a lover of Little Golden Books! I was just going through mine again, picking out one to post about tomorrow. I think I have all of those in your picture. I'll link to your blog tomorrow. Tomorrow's picture book is going to be - Pooh The Merry Christmas Mystery! I hope your readers will come take a look.

  3. I'm glad you're enjoying them, Rena. I hope my other followers are too. It's my little gift to them this month. I love sharing the Christmas spirit and Christmas stories with children during the holidays.
