Critter Cups!

A cup of critters gave me the jitters.

If you've read my book, Lemur Troops & Critter Groups you know what I'm talking about. I got this mug yesterday. I can't believe how fast Zazzle is with orders. I thought it would be fun to make coffee mugs with my book covers. I have two so far, and five more to come. I have one of those free standing wooden mug holders in my kitchen, so I thought it would be cool to display them there. The Marshmallow Man will be probably be my next one, though I'm not sure when that book is due out yet. If you would like to order something with my books on it, you can check out the link here. Like I said, Zazzle has been great so far and I've gotten my order within days.

Nikki and I are planning on doing a blog tour for Lemur Troops & Critter Groups soon. If you have a blog and would like to participate, please let me know. We haven't worked out all the details, but we'd like to keep it fun and maybe have some contests and such. Everyone was so helpful when I did my blog tour for A New Job for Dilly, which was a lot of fun.

Today is a sad day for us. Nicole just left to go back to college in Florida. She's been home since mid December and the time flew by way too fast. I know she's excited about returning to her classes and friends, but she was sad to leave home as well. It's one of those bittersweet things we have to deal with in life, I suppose. We really miss her when she's gone. As it looks now, there's a chance she might be staying through the summer to work on campus. The good thing is that it would help pay for her school. The bad thing is that we might not see her until next Christmas. That's a long time away! Anyway, she'll be in the air most of the day, so if you could keep her in your thoughts and prayers, I would really appreciate it -- thanks.

  1. I'll participate in your blog tour if you'd like!
Also, I impulsively bought Lemur Troops the other day on Amazon (money is tight, so I was going to wait for an occasion to buy it for one of the kids) when I bought a math fact music CD for my daughter. Her class is learning about animals right now, so I didn't want to miss out sharing it with her class! I should get it any day now!
And hugs to you today, that must be so hard to see her go again!

  2. What a nice looking mug! I finally ordered A New Job For Dilly from Amazon. I got it for Joseph's 7th birthday next month.
Prayers for Nicole's safe trip back to school. The job on campus would be great, though I'm sure, hard on the rest of you. You gotta take the good with the bad in life.

  3. I'd love to participate in your blog tour. I have no idea what I need to do, so you'll have to instruct me. I need to get my fingers wet in helping my fellow writers promote their books!

Here's to Nicole and a safe return to Florida.

  4. Count me in for the blog tour! It sounds like fun.

Amazon notified me Monday that Lemur Troops & Critter Groups is in the mail. I can't wait!

Like Kelly, I finally got to order some Blueboarders Picture Books to read and enjoy then send on to my nieces kids.

Love the mug! And I'm sorry about your daughter having to go back to school--but you must be so proud of her!

  9. nathalie -- Do you mean the mountain goat? If so, yes, I took that a few years back in Glacier NP. She came over the hill, followed by her kid. :)

  10. Rena,
I'd love to do the blog tour - like Bish, I have no idea what to do. I love your mug - what a great idea!

I'd start saving for airline tickets to Florida :-)

  11. You know if I had a blog, I would love to have you. :) But my only blog experience is coming here to read! I am still (not so) patiently waiting for the border guards to finish reading Lemur Troops and send it on to me. :) I haven't told the kids it is coming because then they would be driving me crazy each day!

I am late so I am guessing Nicole is back to school now. I hope she has an awesome semester.
